Sanyo were contracted to manufacture the A1000 in Japan, a decision was made by Adam Chowaniec. Around 35,000 units were produced and shipped to North America. Adam sent Dave Needle to assis them with finalizing the production boards and overall assembly. He kept the first one produced, serial number 1 until his passing.
