A personal computer or PC is a computer which can be used in a home, business, or educational environments. After IBM released their first PC, model 5150 in 1981, other manufacturers began to model their computers using a similar form factor. Atari also called the their 400 and 800 computer line the PCS or Personal Computer System upon their release in 1979.
