Zorro (computer)

Zorro was the fourth and final version of the Amiga Development System which became the basis for the production A1000. The name is also found on the original A1000 schematics for the first NTSC machines.


This motherboard supported a number of new features including:

  • A Writable Control Store (WCS) for loading Kickstart from disk
  • 8520 CIA chips
  • 256K RAM (64Kx4 chips)
  • A current limiting circuit for the gameport
