The Power Stick was a low profile joystick made by Amiga for the Atari VCS and other machines which used the same controller pinout. Inside the joystick was a rubber mechanism, which they patented. [1], [2]

The joystick was originally known as the Pro-Stick but after realizing another manufacturer was using a similar name for the joystick they were selling, a new name was needed. Caryn Havis in marketing renamed the product the Power Stick.

Special versions of the Power Stick would also be made available for other systems like the Mattel Intellivision.
