A light pen is a pointing device which is used by placing the stylus directly on a CRT monitor to control it. On the Amiga, a light pen can be read by the Agnus chip. These devices were popular in the 1980s but fell out of favor a decade later as most computer users opted to use a mouse or drawing tablet.
