Mark Shieu was the Director of VLSI Design at Amiga. He supervised the layout and created SPICE simulations of the 3 custom chips. His initials, MS can be found on early versions of the Daphne chip.

Prior to Amiga, he initially worked on chips at Atari under Jay Miner. He went on to work on chips used in coin-op and under Steve Bristow on the unreleased AtariTel line of phones.

He had also worked at BTI Computer.
