The joystick was originally known as the Pro-Stick but after realizing another manufacturer was using a similar name for the joystick they were selling, a new name was needed. [[Caryn Mical|Caryn Havis]] in marketing renamed the product the Power Stick.

The joystick was originally known as the Pro-Stick but after realizing another manufacturer was using a similar name for the joystick they were selling, a new name was needed. Caryn Havis in marketing renamed the product the Power Stick.

Special versions of the Power Stick would also be made available for other systems like the Mattel Intellivision.
